technically i played 2.5 final mix but i didn't mark it. my favorite KH game by a long shot. i didn't have the opportunity to play it as a kid but when i finally got to play it i remember why it had me to interested. the story is great and the characters are phenomenal. seeing a more grown sora and co. is super cool and his black outfit is just perfection. the combat is amazing, it feels super put together and is the best combat in the series. the bossfights are great (especially xemnas and roxas) and it really screams JRPG at you (not a bad thing). Yoko Shimomura cooked once again with the soundtrack and keeps proving why she's one of my goats.

My favorite FF so far. There are obviously flaws in this game (side quests killing pacing, lack of side content, repetitive combat, etc...) but those don't turn me off enough for me to enjoy the other points of this game. I thought the story was good despite someone people finding it boring. The voice actors really killed their roles in here, especially Ben Starr and they really managed to bring the characters to life. I will never shut up about the graphics and music though. The boss fights here were a spectacle to watch/play through and the music matches every fights perfectly. Soken really put his all into the soundtrack and you can definitely tell. 'Away' and 'Find the Flame' are my favorite themes oat right now but that def doesn't discredit the other tracks in this game. The game def has it flaws compared to other FF games but it's still my favorite.
