Perfect mechanics, extremely fun story and a prime example of a movie-videogame adaptation. I had hours upon hours of endless fun as a kid with this, checked it out a couple months ago and it's still a gem :)
Rockstar don't miss!

Being a huge fan of the survival genre and the underwater exploration theme, I've always wanted to try this game. When it came out and all of those reviews popped up saying it was incomplete, I became reluctant on picking it up for myself in fear of being disappointed in a game that had so much potential. Little did I know!
Even so, I always kept this gem close on my backlog (also due to some of my friends' recommendations); Now, after having finished it, I can assure you that it is an absolute 10/10, easily one of my favorite games.
If you venture into this unspoiled and unaware of the lore, you're gonna find yourself experiencing all types of feelings ranging from absolutely amazed to shitting-your-pants scared as you swim deeper and deeper into the planets secrets, build new techologies and find mesmerizing life species on the oceans thassalofobia-inducing waters.
Even with a couple of bugs, of which I have in fact ran into, the game does not become notably problematic or clunky, and the devs seem to genuinely care about the game's state and identity. It also has a very intuitive dev console that can fix almost everything that you may run into!
The whole experience is visually astonishing and the sound design is completely unforgettable; stunning and truly one of the best I've seen so far. I am not lying when I say that you will let out a couple of caveman screams being out in this ocean. It is not avoidable.
As for the story, you're given some quests in the beginning that give you a general understanding of the gigantic horseshit of a situation you got yourself into; as you progress, the game forces you to start walking on your own feet, exploring more of the planet and developing more by yourself to continue uncovering all that lies deep underwater.
This can make you feel lost sometimes when trying to make storywise advancements in the game but, even so, that makes the experience even more rewarding and immersive for the player.
All things considered, i fully recomend this game for any fan of the survival genre, as it is an absolute 10/10 :)
Thank you Unknown Worlds for the amazing amazing journey <3
