While I found Chapter 1 to be underwhelming and not really worth mention (minus a couple of key characters), Chapter 2, while not perfect, turned out to be a lot more experimental and fascinating than
I was expecting, genuinely.

Every turn of this chapter I felt like I was being assaulted or greeted with some hilarious and shocking idea, really fucking creative little spins on the normal formula made this game feel like re-experiencing the exciting joys of Undertale once again. I absolutely loved all the worldbuilding and character development too (it might not be to everyone's excitement as some cutscenes are pretty lengthy but i loved the dialogue almost more than the actual gameplay), and watching all these characters interact with each other is so much fucking fun. The combat is also just as great as it was in the first chapter, though without spoiling anything they've actually put in a lot more purpose for what everyone else asides Kris does in combat, which is a huge plus. Lots of great twists on the typical formula too.

This really is starting to feel like toby and his team working at top form, I can't count all the jokes I giggled at throughout the (rather surprising) five hours of game here. Occasionally there are some dud lines and jokes but that's to be expected for a game focused so heavily on comedy (and some people just won't get the plight of gamers wink wink), and for batting numbers this game hits it out of the park a pretty huge percentage of the time with it's quirks and jokes.

I can see why this is such an important project to toby again, this for once feels like its properly becoming something other than just "Undertale 2". I can't wait for the full game to come out in like.... 15-20 years lol
