Bayonetta provides a healthy dose of overstimulation in its hack n slash combat and enviornmental destruction.

A couple drawbacks:
1. Story. It's presentation was pretty lackluster across numerous chapters. It wasn't until the introduction of Cereza that I began to care about the narrative, but there was a lull throughout much of the gameplay in terms of plot. Not to mention cutscenes were at times extended or too frequent and brought the excitement and action to a halt.

2. The quick-time events. They could have benefitted from a larger window of error, as well as some type of indicator that a QT event is starting. My reflexes could be just bad, but it's not like this was the first time I've played a game with quick-time events, and I found myself retrying them close to every time.

These are just nitpicks, as Bayonetta is still a good amount of fun. The titular character has a lot of charm to her and she's got great style. I look forward to playing the sequels!!

Bayo 2 doesn't have quick time events, so that's a plus.
