Short, cute, over before you know it. The artstyle is charmingly MTV-esque, and the borderline Windows XP Microsoft Paint default palette adds a lot. There's not a lot to dig into, but I suppose that's alright. It only asked me for a couple minutes of my time and an inexplicable 350 megabytes of hard drive space.
Also, I thought the final spread looked kind of...sad? Like, it's a plate of about ten spring rolls and a platter of bananas and tapioca to be split among five or six people. I don't know a ton about Tết, granted, but it's my understanding that there's a lot more than just two dishes. The recipes also call for ingredients that you don't end up preparing — rice noodles for the spring rolls, the tapioca for the bananas and tapioca — and in a game this short, it kind of stands out. It would have been nice to either include these as two or three extra steps to take care of, or have your dad(?) say that he's helping out with those parts so you don't have to do them.
