So the reason I gave it such a high score is that I didn't actually expect it at the beginning. People in backlogged love it. In Japan and China, however, it's widely considered the worst in the series. And I learn it's more like a FD than a sequel, so I lowered my expectations.
Then I play it.
Wow, no A to B side quests. That's very nice.
Pure story chapters that can be read freely? These story are peak, easily the best writing in the series.
And combat is so fucking hard, I have to read a guide to beat some bosses, combat is great.
As a game, 7/10.
But 9/10 as a fan disc.
Those who skipped this game simply because the story is not important should regret.
