"No, this game isn't about Civil Rights, I swear!" cries David Cage, desperately flailing to hide everything that is lifted directly off of the Civil Rights movement word for word, beat for beat, line by line.

Connor and Hank carried the few good parts of this game purely because they decided to do (mostly) something different instead of undermine a real life struggle and even then that wasn't enough.

ugh. i want to hate it but i can't. the art style they chose actually works really well & the sims are cute. after playing with multitasking it hurts to go back to the old ones, despite them being better in every way. building houses is so relaxing & fun instead of grinding your teeth like 2 & 3. TS4 spoils you in ways but also breaks your heart. ea completely abandoning the cutsey lore between the families hurts. they took a lot of the maxis easter eggs & silly bits to become a gen z simulator. but i can't quit it. i still play the other 3 pretty often but the quality of life (when the game works) is so much better.

Game is such a personality test. One friend did exactly what the narrator told them. I refused to do anything I was told and did whatever. Another friend immediately killed herself first chance she got.

This game is so beautiful but so, so stupid. Absolute dumpster fire. I hate it here. I love it here. I love running around with my little guys in the dark dank caves of Thedas and then one of them opens their mouth to say something inflammatory and I suddenly remember this game was written by a bunch of gibbons.
