Pretty good overall, but you quickly turn around (no pun intended) with the lack of offline content. Also, most of the categories are similar but it is easy to adapt to them and hard to master!

There is a fun racer somewhere in there, probably with friends or in a league, but going at it solo I was already trying not to fall asleep at the wheel 3 races in. The presentation in this game is just very dry and stiff. Like the last Everybody's Golf only even more lifeless and devoid of charm.

Has fun content, but very limited selection of enemies and encounters. Once you've played through it about 3 times, you've played through it all. The game play loop is entertaining enough that the repetitiveness does not make this game boring, making it a fun game to beat, and occasionally revisit as if the limited encounters are old friends.

Solid roguelike experience, but playing the base game gets a bit boring for me. Despite the fact I was addicted the first few hours, it grew old on me when I realized the enemies and areas were pretty much always the same. Haven't tried add-ons yet though.

pretty alright card game. if you like roguelikes and cardgames this is probably something for you. the progression is really little though and i dont see a point playing it past a couple games

I thought this was a good game overall, but I’ve learned from it that card based action - especially in rogue style games - aren’t really my thing. That having been said, for the price and for what it is, I think this is a really well made game.

I thought the art style was fun, and I honestly did enjoy trying to find weird and unique things to do with the deck possibilities. I beat the base game with each character, and the full ending with one. I did start to dread having to start over again more so than enjoy the challenge so I doubt I’ll go back anytime soon.

If you like deck building games I would recommend this.

It's fine for awhile, but then it gets super repetitive. The upper levels of difficulty don't do it for me.

Super Mario Wonder isn't that impressive when stripped down to its basest elements. It feels like the New Super Mario Bros. sequel we should have received, as it is everything great about those games but paired with an aesthetic styling that's genuinely creative.

It plays incredibly well, with some incredibly well-designed levels and a soundtrack that's just out of this world. An overall great iteration of the Mario formula, but not quite the evolution some have claimed.

The much needed refresh in 2D Mario. Nearly ties Super Mario World as my favorite 2D Mario. 100%ing was challenging and rewarding. I look forward to future replays. So much charm all throughout.

easily the best dark pictures so far in the series, so excited to start the new one as each entry has surpassed its predecessor. the character development has gotten better with each game. i really ended up loving this set of characters.

This is definitely my favorite Dark Pictures game so far, and may be my favorite Super Massive game since Until Dawn. This game is much more action packed than the previous games and the breakneck pace really benefits it. I felt like this game had much more variation in the choices and consequences than the previous Dark Pictures games. The characters are all great and memorable and while the plot goes to some pretty absurd places, I found the plot twist to be really cool and unique.

The Dark Pictures Anthology has been a really fun movie night game franchise for me and some close friends since they first came out. We've been chasing the high of a playthrough of Until Dawn we all watched many years ago, but the Dark Pictures games haven't lived up...until now. House of Ashes seems to perfectly capture character interactions, clear themes, surprising twists, and real threats throughout that make the game so tense.

While still the same loop of quick time events, choice making and clue finding, this game works really well as it always feels like you're on the verge of discovery right before the reveal. More than the previous games, Man of Medan and Little Hope, House of Ashes has me seriously contemplating a second playthrough to see how I can correct the wrongs of my first one. This game would likely not have been as much fun on my own, but having played it in a group made for a really good time. As a game night with a group of IRL friends, I honestly couldn't recommend it more.

the only other game i’ve played by supermassive was until dawn and this was a massive improvement in every way. story was way better paced, it didn’t feel like i was just playing a “walking simulator,” story wasn’t as cringey either despite the love triangle. the characters were written well and i actually liked them (besides rachel). graphics have improved tremendously since until dawn. gameplay feels a lot smoother as well. just feels like they’ve improved on the formula that they found with until dawn here and i can’t wait to check out the other games. saved salim, jason, eric

A massive improvement from the previous two Dark Picture titles. Man of Medan was very "meh" and Little Hope squandered the ending. House of Ashes swung with its very unexpected setting and did not miss.

First off, the monsters in this one? Peak. God damn, that's all I ever could ask for with these games. I really wish that I wasn't thinking "There is no way they do me wrong 3 times in a row" the entire time I was playing, but I had been burned too many times before. Nope. There is a genuinely icky threat to deal with here and while we don't learn all that much about them, they are violently diabolical enough to garner a few repulses from me whenever they showed up again. The setting sells it a lot. You feel trapped and claustrophobic. You're really unsure if there is a light at the end of the tunnel when it seems like the only way to go is further down into the darkness.

I really enjoyed those aspects a lot. There's much more action in this game in comparison too. I found it way easier to accidentally murder the shit out of the characters in this one, mainly because the thematic tells in this one were way less obvious. There was some genuine pants filling whenever you missed a QTE because you never knew if it meant life or death in that one moment.

There's two storylines going on in this one and one of them is very uninteresting. I don't want to get into it without spoilers, but there's a certain triangle of characters that have some extremely annoying scenes you have to get through when you really just want to see more of the horror instead. The other plotline was fairly predictable where it was going right from the beginning, but it made for a surprisingly warm ending if you were able to keep those character's alive.

It's short and takes you for a wild ride. I was pleasantly surprised.

I fucking loved this one. Goes insane with the scale in a way the preceding Dark Pictures games did not, and is full of really wild sequences and decisions. The wacky horror action movie vibe it goes for really works and I was on the edge of my seat for much of the time. Dying to replay it with a friend sometime.
