The ambient... wow. This was my first experience with a PS1 game, too. I played on emulator but with 640x480 resolution and it's crazy how good the atmosphere feels. I think some sections of the game were way too long and the pacing of the experience would have been better if it didn't have at times such overcomplicated level design and confusing puzzles, but overall I enjoyed playing though the whole game. My only disappointment was the end; after completing the game I discovered that there are multiple endings and I got the "bad" one. I don't like at all when games force you to play it multiple times to get a decent ending, but it's particularly bad because I don't think this game is particularly re-playable. Maybe the end would have been better if the voice acting wasn't so mediocre, either. I guess I will try to get the other endings later or just watch them on yt.
