A hollow, drawn out recreation of what made Lego games enjoyable.

Having replayed some to check my nostalgia goggles, it’s certainly “deeper” than them in that it abandons the simplicity that made them easily playable, and is a long experience of doing mind-numbing tasks rather than mercifully short and sweet experiences.

Bigger isn’t always better.

The game does run great and look gorgeous on Series X at least, but a dull experience is a dull experience no matter how pretty the backdrop.
