It's a quality beat em up. Gave me a hankerin' to play more River City games.

Edit upon replay: It's not quite as Quality as my initial 4 star review showcased.

The game does try to offer more complexities and more options for the brawling combat but like many other sidescrolling beatem ups, You can get furthest along just fine on mashing buttons and only doing the games "contractual" mechanics like grabbing a garbage can off of an enemy they were using as armor, and then just mash light attack again as it's stun time is longer than the cooldown on attacks you can throw out.

Still have to play some original River City games
