Gameplay is fast, challenging, and satisfying. I appreciate the weight of the muscle cars and how controllable they are once you get the hang of things. The first time you manage to slide around a corner an inch from three cars and barely lose speed, that hits the good brain spots.

Story is meh. It's quite obvious this game takes its cues from Bullitt, Starsky and Hutch, The Godfather, and other such cinematic elements, but the cutscenes just lack the execution. It's easy to lose track of what's going on in the midst of the garbage voice acting and script, but thankfully that's not integral to enjoying the gameplay.

The movie influence is really baked right in with the in-game video editor, which is arguably the most intriguing part of the game. I will definitely have to revisit it more in-depth.

The difficulty is mostly acceptable, and in some missions feels just about perfect. I can probably think of five or so missions total that are unreasonably difficult/annoying, including the first and last (seriously bad design choice there).

Overall, quite good and gets points for being a twist on the normal racing formula.
