Playing this after Afterparty (shoutout 'After the Afterparty' by Charli XCX) so my comparisons are mostly to that. I think the design of this one, both audio and visual is cooler. Afterparty's Hell had cool designs but the distortions and things here are pretty unique. It feels like not only are the 'others' coming into the characters' world, but ours as well. And the synth score sets an eerie mood. But the best part is the audio work on the voices, constantly changing their pitches and alternating humming and static. Only thing is I think the story was kind of weak. The mystery of the island doesn't really get a complete explanation and it makes you wait until the very end for it. And the backstories to the characters kind of blend together. I ended up getting the trophy for 'Make All Your Friends Hate You' because I chose the most dramatic dialogue options. But it looks like I always enjoy a game from these guys and I'll definitely pick up the next one too (by pick up I mean digitally download).
