There's something about Gothic horror that I find so comforting and beautiful. The high ceilings and ornate walls and arches. The echoes of footsteps and the crackling of a fire. And the way the events of the story are generally more tragic than scary. But even more than all of that, this game has memorable characters. Say what you will about other entries, but I think these villains are the most unique. And I love that each of their sections almost plays like a different game. We get to see so much of their lives and personalities before they turn into the expected huge boss fight. And hell those fights are incredible. If I had any complaints it might be that maybe it's too short? Feels like there could have been more content in there. I rarely ever do endgame content. But, strange as it may sound, I would love to spend more time in the clutches of these formidable foes.
