Dropped about 5 minutes into Tanimura's section. Fuck this. Somehow even worse than 3!
Normally I do not give numbered scores to games that I do not finish, but I cannot let go how much this sucks. I tried so hard to like this, but the combat sucks, the story sucks and is filled with sequences that have near identical versions in prior games, the characters are half-baked and the sidequests are tied to them which makes Kamurocho feel barren and empty, basically everything that could have gone wrong with a Yakuza game did here. And people say that it (somehow) gets even worse in the back half!
It took less than 10 hours for me to not only decide to drop a game I was dead-set on playing but place into question me playing the rest of the series as well, at least the ones made before Zero's engine became the standard. Only thing keeping me from having the score lower than a 3 is the fact I didn't finish it. Horrible.
