Never got the hype around this game. The characters are likeable and the story is pretty simple (almost Saturday morning cartoon level).

However, I think what really made me put it off finishing it for so long is the combat. It definitely feels more involved than the snes era megatens, since weakness exploitation is actually important and it's not a huge pain to check demon affinities. But I think that made it feel to me like I was just playing said snes era-games while never using auto-battle. The game just felt really slow and it put my will to play it on suicide watch. I will admit that I might totally change my mind if I play it again at any point.
