The best in the series BY FAR. I think this is what an indie game should do. An intriguing story hidden in the game, a nice mix between an arcade game and a horror game with simple mechanics and the best ambience in the series only tied with FNAF 4.
The problems that I encountered playing this: the horror in the game dissapears when you die 3-4 times (until you meet golden freddy) and the most important flaw: the game forgets to tell you how to stop freddy. I died countless times trying to figure out how to stop freddy because the phone guy doesn't explain to me how to stop it, and I needed to search how to do it in YouTube.
Overall, it's just a good arcade game, not the "god of horror games" that kids like for whatever reason. Sadly this is the best game in the series as I said, it just goes downhill without brakes after this.

It's just an "ok" game, it's not awful but it's not the best game in existence. Most of the series aged poorly if im being honest, if you want to play the games it's ok and you can have some fun, but just play Megaman 6 if you want the best Megaman for the NES

Even if I know this game by heart and I played it a billion times, completed the pokedex and love all the pokemon that I used in my adventure, it's still shit
The flaws of the level progression and the design of some pokemon (not the sprites, the gameplay design: some pokemon are just better that others, why would you even use dewgong or magneton when you can use lapras or jolteon) makes the game boring at some points, and don't forget the glitchy mess of a game this is.
Even if I love it, it's just bad.
