deathloop rocks. but it also reminds me more of a linear adventure/puzzle than it does a "proper" 'time loop game' (does that make sense)

generally, the loop only serves a story and broad gameplay purpose to limit the player. it's really not hard to save your equipment at the end of a day once you unlock the ability to do so, and then the game opens up a lot more to allow the player to simply sleuth around these locations and find out what's going on and what the story of this place is. and i think that's neat.
