The game is an apparent continuation from A Link to The Past, with a little polishing here and there. I personally enjoyed playing it, though, of course the game is a little dated in terms of gameplay mechanics. However, the difficulty is not that high, and some bosses could literally be one or two-shot.
Finding all the seashells, knowing all the walls that you need to break, and knowing about the trading sequence is quite challenging without external help, since the game doesn't provide many clues as of where to find them. So you will have to literally search everywhere, talk to everyone and stab all the walls in order to find them, and it would take much more time than I spent on this game, so I used a guide.
I enjoyed playing through the story, and even got a little teared up in the end. Fortunately, I have beaten the game without any deaths, so I enjoyed a little additional cutscene at the end.
