Lots of cool elements to the game, but oftentimes I sat back and thought, "how is this fun?" Unfortunately those moments weren't limited to a single section of the game, and were encountered throughout. Tiny annoying enemies that you can't hit with arrows, barely missing jumps because wolf link controls oddly, massive overworld that feels mostly empty...
Props for making the water temple fun.

Compared to Gears 2, this is a mixed bag. Lambent are a cool premise that get a bit old to fight after a bit. There are also a few too many characters that get rotated around to the point that you only see C. Carmine for one section in the game before bringing him back at the end.
Horde is also improved over the original, but the character unlock levels are insanely fuckin bad. After beating the campaign on the second hardest difficulty (hardest you can do on a first playthrough) and playing quite a few games of horde, I only got to level 11. I just wanna play as B. Carmine damnit.
Anyways, the gunplay felt good. No sections overstayed their welcome, and weapon variety was encouraged throughout
the game depending on the setting. All-in-all, pretty good.
