(Note: This review is old and likely doesn't match my current opinion. Will likely rewrite in the future)
Note: played on a homebrewed original 3DS, so the game didn't run perfectly. This does not affect my review however.
It hurts to give this game a score like that, but it's how I feel. I really loved the world, the story, the characters, the designs, the combat, and the OST, but stuff like the menu, the ghost mechanic, and the entire desert area just dragged the game down for me. These scare me off from playing the game again as I don't want to go through the slog that they were.
Ignoring those things though, this game is incredible. If those simple things were fixed, I think this game could be a masterpiece and one of my all time favorites (which a remake could easily do wink wink Nintendo wink wink). But for now, I have to put it lower for the painful experience I had playing it.
