(Note: This review is old and likely doesn't match my current opinion. Will likely rewrite in the future)
Good game, holds up mostly well today. While this game definitely has its problems, I cannot ignore the fact that the stuff it does well, it excels in, and I 100% understand how this game could be as impactful as it was when it first released, even though I was not alive back then.
Great characters, amazing music, fun combat, complicated but interesting lore, fascinating world. It's got everything.
Also, this game has one of my favorite final bosses. I won't spoil (though I'd be surprised if you haven't already), but it's fucking awesome.
However, it does fall flat in multiple areas. Like, I forget how many minigames there were, but they were all kind of intrusive and annoying, besides the motorcycle segment.
Overall, great game, and a very important one in gaming history, which I think most people should experience at least once.
