genuinely one of the best action rpgs from what i played. fromsoftware and miyazaki deserved this career of making some of the most addictive and brutal gameplay of the soulborne series.
the environmental storytelling, npcs, and even the enemies accomplish a lot to build the world as it is and put some of the pieces together of bosses or areas and what happened; it's one of my favorites. not only that, but the freedom of builds is what makes me love these games a lot. by the end of the game i was wearing a havel armor set with a strength build tanking almost every hit thrown at me and deal major damage with huge weapons in return.
some of the bosses are really cool and challenging, but my most favorite was ornstein and smough for being such a cool 2-on-1 fight. there are some bad bosses though like the bed of chaos, but most bosses in this game are good. while it does have some jank and not-so-fun areas, the qualities are so much for me to not mind the rest. truly, this game is a classic of its time.
