I was told by a lot of people that this game was unlike the newer rockstars and that the missions and such were a lot more "open" and free to have more varied player input. I did not feel that at all when I played it. All I played was a janky and still mostly linear open world game which while impressive for the time, doesn't really hold a candle to the quality of later games from rockstar in both gameplay and story.
