one of my favourite jrpg's of all time, incredibly strong and oppressive atmosphere and great story, great zoomer filter for jrpg newcomers too and to find out which megaten fans regurgitate the same three talking points

I like both and both of em fit the description
can you describe what you like about the story

I like the simple premise and setup and how the whole game prepares you to hear out other people's reasons or make up your own despite being denied the ability to actually make them true, and how normal people break in desperate situations, it's lighter compared to later entries, i'd say it's about on par with the original SNES ones and Devil Summoner spinoffs, but it's still interesting nonetheless and expands on a lot of the characters and lore in the Amala expansion

tldr I just like the simple premise leading up to a very human exchange between the world's gods and deities and being about standing up for your beliefs despite being underhanded ¯\(ツ)
interesting, good review btw. excited to play this game

Massive cope, what you described sounded more like devil survivor than this game

Did you play the wrong game?

@GutterTrash strange journey is still very light on story with all the endings being asset flips
