The main quality of the game is the cinematic experience it'll give you, never before have I been that amazed in front of a solo campaign from a multiplayer driven FPS. This feeling was even more powerful for the levels I played without any HUD, I really felt like I was participating in a war with all those soldiers and tanks fighting alongside me. I also need to mention the wonderful sound design that adds a lot to the immersion.
For the rest, well the game is pretty meh to be honest, levels are just the multiplayer maps reused, stories are not really interesting and too fast paced, the best part is clearly the intro of the game.
Looking back to Battlefield 4 and Bad Company 2 makes me feel sad that this franchise stopped doing full stories, because in those 5 stories there is at least 3 stories that could have been made into a full 6h solo campaign with interesting themes and messages. But well showing different battlefields (lol) of the WW1 is not bad either we can have different kind of landscapes like that.
Achei super interessante a forma que a história é apresentada ao jogador. Ao invés de controlarmos um personagem principal, em Battlefield 1 você assume o papel de diferentes protagonistas, e joga histórias contadas em forma de “crônicas” que são unidas por um tema em comum: O quão cruel pode ser uma guerra.
Eu poderia reclamar que o game é curto, mas sei lá, o jogo consegue ser 0 cansativo. Quando você acha que a gameplay vai começar a ficar repetitiva o ótimo ritmo da narrativa e frequentes mudanças de abordagem mantém o jogador entretido o tempo inteiro (As variedades de missões abrilhantam o jogo, uma hora você está correndo por campos abertos tentando driblar as explosões, outra você precisa ir stealth pois tem muitos inimigos. Ainda sobra espaço para pilotar veículos).
A gameplay por um todo é agradável, sendo super frenética e precisa (A dirigibilidade do tanque de guerra deixa um pouco a desejar mas em contra partida dirigir o avião de guerra e derrubar outros aviões no céu é um dos auges do jogo).
Battlefield 1 acerta muito em acontecer na Primeira Guerra Mundial pois além de fazer a franquia ganhar um novo tom, continuou agradando os jogadores fiéis que curtem o modo online.
