This is another example of ignoring all your flaws from previous games and leaving new things "good", because if you played Super Bonk (Alias one of the best games on the SNES and THE BEST GAME IN THE SERIES BY ALL), you know that the character increases and decreases in size by picking up some "candies" in the levels, that's right, this is where it started, but it's not where it started well, because even though it improved the gameplay a little and added this cool feature, the game still remains unbearable after for a while, and even though it's a little better to control the character, I feel like he's very slow, like really slow, making me miss the stuck Bonk from the second game, and even though it was here that he added the gimmick of candies, I feel like it's more of a hindrance than a help, like getting bigger is easier for you to take damage from the TERRIBLE collision box and being smaller means you can't jump very high, being useless on platform parts, honestly for me this gimmick is more for "shields" rather than real gimmicks, these disgraces aren't even good for power ups, and I also feel that this game lost all that charisma of the second one, and the bosses are pretty boring, the only one I found interesting was the bat that gets inflated when your head butts your head, just. And the ending is very disappointing, it's just the moon turning back into a moon and fuck it, take the credits, not even the karaoke with Bonk. A waste of time.

Short and sweet! Controls are a bit stiff, but could just be this DuoPad and its 30yr old silicone membranes.

Fun game, not as fun as the first one but it's definitely better than the second game.

Seems like the first Bonk game had a cohesive plan to what they wanted the game to be, whereas 3, and especially 2, feel like they're trying different things to see what sticks. The first game felt very grounded to its prehistoric setting which to me is very unique in a platformer of this era. But this game just goes all over the place, with factories in the background and houses with bathtubs and plumbing.

That stuff isn't really that big of a deal on its own but when you combine it with levels that are either too easy or just not interesting, and also take into account the braindead easy boss fights, makes you feel like they took a huge step back from Bonk 1. The potential was definitely there after Bonk 1 to really knock it out of the park but I feel like every time the games come close to being great, they pull you back down.

I wish they kept trying with Bonk a, I guess I''ll play the Super Famicom Bonk games to see how where Bonk ended up in terms of quality.

Final note: the CD version of this game has better music.
