One of my favorite games on the genesis that no one else remembers. It was so cartoony and fun. I still remember the pool distinctly to this day

Charming, witty and well-animated, but not very fun to play. Bonkers has a lot of conventional platformer abilities but they don't flow very well into each other, there's balloons everywhere for powerups but you can't break 'em without spending a one-time bomb or waiting for your dash meter to fill. Collisions when jumping on things can be odd, level design is kinda mid, it's just kinda scatterbrained. Felt similarly towards Magical Quest 1&2 but even those have more focus in how you use your character-specific tools to interact with the level. Didn't feel like things were starting to get clever until it was already over.

But I LOVE the rabbit you beat the shit out of for collectibles. My goat.

Decent "hop and bop" platformer, or whatever people call those. Short, sweet and plays well.

Although, all of the music (especially the boss theme) seemed awfully familiar to me. I had to spend a while racking my brain for where I had heard it before and then the realization hit me like a truck
