the whole concept of playing as the villain devouring all wildlife on a planet super cool i just wish the game itself was as well

An unreleased SHMUP arcade game where you play as some Thing-like alien horror that grows by eating enemies. It’s honestly a really cool game, they really hammer home how you’re the villain, to the point that the good ending is obtained by losing to the final boss.

There’s tons of possible transformations and the game was fun the whole way through (though if I didn’t have infinite quarters I probably would not have the same opinion, but honestly that still puts it above most arcade games I’ve played) and frankly it’s just a really cool concept, I don’t understand why it was never released, especially given that it’s basically finished.

An unreleased arcade shoot 'em up with a nihilistic view on life, almost feels like a predecessor to Yoko Taro's games. I didn't get too much enjoyment from the gameplay in this, but its unsettling and experimental nature definitely made up for it.

Fucked up. I ain't rating this since it's obviously in an unfinished state (the music is fucking horrendously balanced jfc) but it's at the weird intersection of being something i really vibe with and am kinda repulsed by. The mechanic of grabbing things to morph is cool but overall inconsequential because they affect your strategy and overall power so little. This is also the game that made me realize that I need to like looking at my player character if I'm gonna sit through a whole game with them, and your ship in this game's just nasty and hard to project onto. A grimy little bottom dweller that I'd rather be shooting at than playing as. Boss fights also just suck overall.
