Co-open is a game about a kid's first time buying groceries on their own. Looks like it's time to explore and have some fun! The products available in the local cooperatively run store are community-selected, trying to suit everybody's needs. You might not find everything you're expecting, but maybe there will be something that surprises you! Check the information on product price tags to make sure you only pick fresh local produce, call your grandmother for a suggestion, or just go with whatever catches your eye! Just try not to feed the store cats off the shelves. Please. They are fed regularly. You can get your ice cream and veggies in a few minutes to rush back home sooner — or stray away from the shelves and find yourself a part of a drawing class in the rooftop park, or an underground snowskate hangout! Don't be scared to check things out. Looks like your neighbor friend is also shopping today! But could you meet anybody else? What if it's a very (very) big crow, or a mysterious vent dweller? Maybe you will even have some meaningful mementos after your adventures! In the end, grandma will always come to pick you up. What will she say about your shopping trip — or, more importantly, about your product picks?

Maybe it's just me, but some "cozy/wholesome" games can feel quite exhausting, It just feels patronizing having stuff that not only is pretty simple and filled with friendliness, but just bends over backwards to make sure everyone is having a comfortable time, everybody loves you and also gives you their preferred pronouns and nobody ever gets mad at you, I get it, some people really get into this stuff but stuff like this always reminds me of being a kid and feeling like my intelligence was insulted because people will spend far too long treating like you can't walk 5 ft without falling on your face, so this ends up just feeling like an exploration game where if you ever sprain your ankle, you'll get a band-aid and a juicebox.

It's not a bad game though, the art is cute and the characters are a bit interesting, even if all of the ones that are clearly in their teens to 30s are the same design but with a different style of clothes that could be interchangeable between all of them, and all of the kids are like, kids show shallow, where their only goals in life are to say hi to friends and ask someone to get their ball for them.

The game is a nice time-sink if you don't mind these kinds of atmospheres, but it just drains me.

Ahhh this game is so cute and delightful!! You're just a little kid walking around and talking to all the nice people shopping at this local store :, it's so sweet and theres a good amount of stuff to do. Very queer as well I can't recommend this one enough <3 The eastern european setting is something that stuck out to me as well and was really cool to see

A cute, chill little game about a shopping trip. Only taking off half a star because it crashed a couple of times for me.

Very charming game with very cute characters. Well-written, fun dialog. It's fun to step into the shoes of a kid on an adventure for a while.

Theres a lot of games that aim for that 'Cozy' vibe but never really hit the mark, maybe the writing isnt very good, maybe they ask you to do too much busywork to get to where you want to be, maybe their message is muddled via control issues or through elements that dont fit.

This? This nails that vibe perfectly. A neat little calm shopping trip, filled with fun characters, exploration aplenty and neat little things here and there, be it conversations you didnt know you could have, phone numbers to dial, secrets to collect and friends to make.

Its all a very peaceful and rewarding little experience that ticks all the correct boxes. Is it on the short side? Sure.... But honestly I wouldnt have it any other way.

Chill and good vibes. Pretty fun when you realise all the places that can be explored. But, I soon grew tired when I realised there wasn't much of interest to find.
