Looking back at this game's announcement and reveal, it's kind of hilarious to me how much both the community and Valve gassed this up when all it ended up being was a graphical overhaul of CS:GO with some gameplay tweaks and a quarter the content of the prior Source 1 version.

Still Counter-Strike, but it has been suffering a severe content drought and we're now approaching a year since CS2 released (as of the time writing this 7/26/2024). Not that it seems to be affecting the player numbers all too much. They're too busy having a meltdown over some boxes in Dust 2.

pretty cool game when subtick doesnt make me want to kill myself 7.5/10

spent too much money on this game considering how little I've played it

This was a good game, but I'm sad that it randomly got updated one day to change the branding to market it as a "sequel" when literally nothing is changed aside from the UI. If they ever did actually plan to maret this as a sequel, I'm baffled as to why they didn't just mae this a separate game, rather than outright replacing the original, so that people can still play it if they want to. Can I just say one of my other gripes with this? I hate that this "sequel" only has 1 achievement. I'm not sure if this was built off of the original game or not, but I feel like they could've made more achievements for it, considering that other shooter games like Call of Duty or Fortnite have like 150 achievements.
