Link Between Worlds item rental system over Toki-Tori gameplay. It's a fun idea with an impressive amount of puzzling from its small item set. A lot of time is spent moving through areas you've already explored to get to new stuff. There is the option to set the game to 5x speed, but I still spent a long time just walking through rooms that were useless to me. I like the 3d world map.
Elephantasy is brimming with charm yet lacking in substance. That isn't necessarily an issue, but I figured I should set some expectations for anyone interested in the game.
The core gameplay loop is a mix of Metroidvania and A Link Between World's rental system, where you use items to advance past certain obstacles on the map, but you must choose which items to take with you at a time. Find gems around the surprisingly wide world and upgrade your carry capacity until you can finally carry each item once.
There's a little synergy between items (namely between the ring and others), but it doesn't go far enough to create anything with a great amount of mechanical depth. It's just quaint, a pretty little game that won't challenge you too much or take too long. I liked it.

It’s cute, and short, and the way it builds on the use of its 4 tools gets pretty interesting by the end. Got 29/36 of the gems which I’m perfectly happy with. Unfortunately I did have a glitch where I accidentally used the vine in the ice master boss fight, causing his fist to go offscreen, which crashed my game. When it opened again, I had lost my rank but the gems I collected were gone from the world, so I had to start over. Annoying but the game is short enough that it wasn’t too hard to get back to where I was.
