Phenomenal game. Grand in its design and execution. All core aspects are masterfully done. On top of that, my girlfriend loves it AND achieved the platinum trophy + all DLC trophies. Frostpunk is a certified banger.

I love Frostpunk. I love the combination of sandbox elements with a defined campaign mode. Replay value is very high when you consider additional story modes, endless mode and different choices for the main campaign.

The visual and sound design never fail to make me feel cold when playing. Plus the steampunk genre is brilliantly used here.

The console edition works really well. You don't notice that the game probably needs a keyboard and mouse, which is as good as a console port can get really.

Gameplay - 4/5
Frostpunk is a post apocalyptic city builder. It's pretty easy to get started and then the complexity of it's resource management sneaks up on you.
Visual - 4/5
The frozen wastes look beautiful and lonely.
Audio - 3/5
I usually play these kinds of games on mute. Frostpunk has some minimal voice acting.
Conclusion -
Strategy games with no end in sight are like crack for me. I have like a million hours logged in Crusader Kings 2. Frostpunk was awesome and I'd played 10+ hours on the first day. Had to delete it to avoid couch potatoing myself.
