Played through it a second time thanks to PS+!
A satisfying and sweet game, it’s quick to get through but even then I found it to become quite tedious, and I found myself getting quite bored. Worth a try but I realised that it wasn’t for me! I only wanted to play it again because the first time I played it was using game pass streaming browser thingie on my iphone, and thought maybeee playing it on my TV on the PS5 would be more comfortable. Maybe it would have felt less tedious if i didn’t play it in one sitting…

According to my PS5, I am 34 hours into this.
I kept forcing myself to play it, see if anything would get it to click with me but at this point I may need to admit to myself that ff16 isn’t for me, and honestly? I have no idea why. Maybe it’s the game of thrones influence, the fact that everything feels quite dull outside of the flashy eikon battles, the fact i don’t reallyyyy care about the characters…
I excitedly preordered this game, one of the main reasons i wanted a ps5 was for ff16, i love final fantasy even 15. the demo they released of ff16 solidified my opinion that preordering was a great idea and yet the full game, the rest of it… i just… don’t get?
very sad and frustrated, and i expected to like it after watching all the trailers and stuff leading up to release :(
i MIGHT get myself to play through more of it at some point, only because I’m genuinely kicking myself for not liking it. It wasn’t exactly cheap to buy with my current situation, so i should at least finish it.
