Gun Wings is a very short and very difficult shmup bullet hell game that it's very much worth checking out due to its low price of admission.

You can choose from 3 characters (yellow, blue and red girls), each having two different attack styles to choose from. The draw for this game comes from its color-based mechanic (Ikaruga inspired?) where bullets matching the color of your character can be absorbed in order to use a special attack that works wonders when you are in a tight spot to clear the screen from other colored bullets that create damage. Coupled with using regular bombs to clear the screen, the color absorbing technique creates an unique mechanic where being cautious at first (absorbing bullets) rewards aggressive timed-based movements when you are using the special attack.

If you enjoy shmups this is a no brainer considering its low price point.
