Madden NFL 17 has some improvements, especially with a revamped running game that feels a lot better than before. They also added some cool commentary and presentation changes that make it feel more like watching an actual game. But honestly, it still feels too similar to older Maddens, the AI can be super frustrating, and Franchise mode needs a major overhaul. If you skipped a couple of years, it might be worth a try, but die-hard fans won't find a ton of reasons to upgrade.

Terrible gameplay, barebones game modes, and an awful career mode. The PS2-era Madden games blow this one out of the water

and here we have it, the game so bad it made me stop playing. completely broken and not worth my time, made me realize how bad sports games had gotten and how copy/paste they are.

By 17 the series is off the rails and is a yearly reprint, it’s a wonder this wasn’t the last installment.

17 was a tiny bit better and I do not remember why. 5/10
