The Evil King has risen from the dead to rule the world once more. The Greek goddess Athena has summoned the souls of four ancient guardians and bestowed their power upon four heroes to stop the evil once again. These guardians wield the ability to shift into anthropomorphic beasts to fight their enemies.

Aside from its beast transformation mechanic (little more than a glorified super), there's nothing really noteworthy about Metamorphic Force; just another playable beat-'em-up from a time when we got those with some regularity. Nicely psychedelic at points.
Quite an underwhelming golden axe/altered beast arcade side scroller..
Power-ups feel meaningless, bosses are routine, level designs a bit of a bore..
