The follow up to MUSHA improves the difficulty but is a huge step down in almost every other aspect. Pacing comes to a crawl with forced story sections and the soundtrack despite using CD audio is rather lackluster compared to its predecessor which was a powerful showcase of the Genesis hardware under the right hands. It does make some cool use of the Sega CD sprite scaling capabilities but otherwise you're better off playing MUSHA over this.

Maybe I went in with the wrong expectations but I loathed this. More than just a pale imitation of the original MUSHA, it's a desaturated, hollow, mind-numbing tar pit. Might be better if I could see what the hell was hitting me half the time. Would play most of the Aleste games over this.

MUSHA is one of my favorite console shooters, and I didn’t even realize a sequel existed (for all the crap Wonder Boy gets, Aleste might have a worse naming convention). This isn’t as quite as explosive and immediate as MUSHA, but the story and presentation is definitely classed up here and it still feels great to play.

Ahhhh hahaha gosh I loved this! It was so fun and funny and cool. The opening cinematic is just WONDERFUL; the voice acting going on about Sengoku Japan but WHOOPS they've got steam powered mecha. It's just wonderful

The shooting and movement feel really great, and I like the little animations (like I like how when you move backwards, your little fella swoops his legs down).

I also looooooove the animated cutscenes. Just a wonderfully fun time!!

Damn if games can do genre mashups like a motherfucker while Hollywood just tripped on its dick over and over again for like all of 2010 with those things. The virgin “cowboys and aliens” vs the Chad “flying robots and sengoku-era Japan”

Esse game tem a notável distinção de ser o melhor jogo do Sega CD que já joguei. O melhor de todos os 3.
