They will have the freedom to build endless strategic and iconic teams with returning all-star characters from the STAR OCEAN series, choosing between attackers, sharpshooters, defenders, invokers and healers to assemble a powerful crew. Enhanced mobile-specific controls will have users experience fast-paced real-time combat with gorgeous 3D graphics. Honestly I don't know why I had any expectations for this at all but yeah it was a terrible gacha game further desecrating the shallow grave of star ocean. Even for a gacha one thing that really showed as a red flag was the quality of characters. All but the rarest characters had the laziest design work I've ever seen. C'mon guys show Claire some love.
Fun if you had a group of buds to play with, but even then it was lacking in gameplay variety.
UPDATE: Well would you look at that? A gacha game funded a new Star Ocean sequel AND a new Valkyrie profile game. And here I thought gacha was the "scourge of gaming". Strange!
It was only worth it for all the valkyrie profile collabs.

One of the more enjoyable gacha games I've played. Sadly, it was shut down in North America. At least we have a ton of great character artwork and really nice 3D models from this game.
