At a time when computer games were being blamed for violence, bad language, epilepsy and everything else the 'moral majority' needed a scapegoat for, Virgin gave us: The Road Safety Game. Or not, as this is a standard platform game with a twist of questionable taste and purpose.

The Incredible Crash Dummies for Game Boy is a collection of minigames starring the titular crash test dummies. The action ranges from falling off buildings to haphazard car races and bomb juggling. Unfortunately, the charm of the source material doesn't translate well here. The gameplay is often repetitive and frustratingly imprecise, and the visuals are rudimentary even for Game Boy standards. Unless you hold nostalgia for the Crash Dummies brand, this one can likely stay on the shelf.

Awful.

Poorly animated sprites, with terrible jumping, awful collision detection, and almost no time to react to the enemies coming at you.

Game where, ironically, looking both ways will do you no good as the majority of hits you take are from things offscreen. Very truly mediocre otherwise. I wonder who this appeals to, even. Like, who out there is a diehard for the fucking Incredible Crash Dummies?
