System: Windows PC
Rating: 57/100
Playtime: ~15 Minutes

A short parkour platformer based on playtesting a game as the main character. I didn't expect the game to have voice acting at all, and especially not Nolan North, but it was a hugely welcome surprise. The platforming was fun, but some jank. I did enjoy the shifted perspectives and what was done with that, and there were a couple of set pieces in just fifteen minutes of gameplay. It was too short, and I feel like this would be a very fun game if it was eventually expanded upon.

I have to assume that the student team behind this got an A+ on it considering they were able to craft a fun little 15 minute slice of 2D platforming with a charming short story. I'm not sure how they got Nolan North himself to sign onto this but obviously that gives them some gaming gravitas right out of the gate. I enjoyed how meta this was with the environment changing all around the character. It's simple and tongue-in-cheek but gives a great excuse to string together different gameplay ideas in the context of the narrative. The parkour gameplay reminded me a lot of the surprisingly fun Mirror's Edge iOS port. I'd recommend this to anybody who has even a few minutes for a quick little bite of gameplay, and I wouldn't mind at all to see this fleshed out into a full project. Bonus points for the interesting design concept videos and tests playing over the credits that gives you a glimpse to how it was made.

A nice little 30 minute student game project with stellar voice acting. While there isn't a ton here in comparison to other video games - it's free and stands on it's own. Fun little proof of concept with a tiiiiiiiiiny bit of controll jank.

Free 20-minute platformer with a clever meta premise - you're a sentient game character (voiced by Nolan North!) tasked by the game designer with testing out her unfinished game before the publisher visits. Admittedly doesn't do anything that novel with that premise, but hey, it's free and 20 minutes long, so it doesn't really need to.

It's a free, fun little side-scroller with 3rd-person Parkour. The game is very short, just 15 minutes of fun. After all, it's free - what more could you ask for?
