Extremely condensed retelling of the story of Mask of Deception. They absolutely nailed the finale though. Combat is really meh as well. I'd only recommend this to fans of the series, and even then, buy it on sale; it absolutely isn't worth $60.
Gameplay is aggressively mediocre but the Final Strikes are, of course, very cool. Narratively, even as an abridged retelling it misses too many crucial character moments and plot beats that make Mask of Deception’s story feel so special and complete, but damn they absolutely nailed the recreation of the finale. I cried. Again.
the definitive way to experience Mask of Deception. Not because it's better or anything, but because they cut out everything so there's a lot less of Haku being annoyingly lazy and Kuon being annoyingly... Kuon >:))
no I joke. I like musou games. This was fine. Pretty fun. Definitely requires you know the story of Mask of Deception since they skip 90% of the game and barely give context for what they don't skip. Except, for some reason, Dekopompo's boat thing that was literally filler in the original game but fsr is a full level here.
they should have made Moznu playable. And Kurou
