The campaign for this game is quite cinematic for an RTS game, and the fidelity of the recreation of the 40k universe in terms of units, maps, and characters, is quite impressive for the time. However, the campaign lacks much in terms of challenge, strategy, or interesting scenarios to play through, often being quite generic RTS levels framed by the impressive storytelling.
Overall, any 40k fan will probably find fun here, and the variety of units to use in multiplayer or AI matches would be a lot of fun to explore, and while the campaign is more impressive than most for the genre, it fails to really achieve much in terms of entertaining gameplay. Might be more appealing to some, but for me it just didn't hit.

A great game and very fun. It takes me back as I remember playing Warhammer 40k as a kid since I had no group of friends who enjoyed dungeon mastering. Many of the units are very memorable of that past time and the story of this is one-sided (unlike the expansions) though memorable. It will suck you in though and hours will go by without knowing it.
