The original has a pretty neat atmospheric vibe. This one looks mad corny.

More of a modern audio-visual upgrade to the original Yars' Revenge than a full remake. If you didn't like the Atari 2600 version, this might not do much for you.

The updated visuals look like unity store assets lol, the original 2600 graphics are ironically less tacky

Played as part of Atari 50.

Yars' Revenge if they Hired This Man. Literally everything glows in this. Some things look better (have more fidelity) and some things look worse (not really much of a bold artistic direction here), but at the end of the day it's basically the same game with a slightly different coat of paint.

[Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration Reimagined]

Yars: Recharged is the fifth and final game of the Reimagined collection, I honestly had no idea what to do when I played the original and I still feel the exact same when playing the remake. I don't really understand the appeal of this game it feels like Breakout mixed with Centipede while using the Pong's portrait view, it just feels like a visual upgrade rather than trying to make this game feel modern gameplay-wise like the Reimagined version of Haunted House did.

Yars Revenge enhanced is a great remake that essentially is a from the ground up remake of Yars Revenge. Bringing out more of the space vibe and giving the Robot Fly created by the Yars more of an insect modern appearance as well as giving the drone a unique appearance as well.

The game is fundamentally a remake that is 1 to 1 like the original the music and visuals are all amazing in this remake , only critique I really have is how they didn't take the opportunity to make the opposing ship barriers unique apart from the 2 standard types of barriers it has, while making the drone faster, would have been better, but I get they were just making a graphically modern remake and great job cause I really enjoyed it!

Played on Atari 50 as my final game in the entire package ⭐️
