Extremely good swinging movement and really made me FEEL like a comrade

6.7/10

I think Yupitergrad is the ultimate VR gaming experience. There is nothing that I personally think has come close to it when it comes to a genuine VR experience that makes use of the headset. The movement is phenomenal, the level design is superb. You feel the speed of grappling through this space station, you get vertigo looking down from some of its immense heights, and the swinging has a surprising amount of control once you get used to your jets/reels.

All in all if there were any game I would tell someone to play to make a full use of their VR headset, it would be this one.

This game feels so great when you get a handle on the controls and start zipping around with ease. I felt engaged throughout the experience. It’s short and sweet. It’s got 50 time trial levels, but I wasn’t interested in the leaderboards or beating my best time.

The story is pretty bland, but I did think the writing was funny and enjoyable with all the tongue in cheek references to a certain Eastern European country.

I do wish the environments had a bit more detail, but maybe it would have distracted from your high speed swinging.

The ending is really cool, so I’ll refrain from spoiling it if anyone reading is interested in playing.

Larryboy VR. Anybody who gets that, I love you.

The only grapple hook game you need

I am honestly floored at how good this game is. From the moment you're first in the air, until the last time trial stage you do, you will have an absolute blast. These physics... Are so good. Feels incredibly freeing to zip around at Mach speeds, mastering where you're going and how you're going to get there. It must have taken ages to code and it was well worth it. Have never gotten motion sick either, but I do have very strong VR legs.

I've tried other "grapple hook" games on the store, via app lab and side quest, and Yupitergrad is my choice for the best of the bunch. It's so refined. And it just keeps going? Has been a few updates to include more content and it's also all very well done? And it's at an affordable cost? If you're on the fence, don't be. Just do yourself a favor and buy the game. It's a great time, and I can't stop coming back to it, even after I've completed everything. The mechanics are just tooooo good.

See you on the leaderboards comrades!
