In lieu of trying to explain how Placid Plastic Duck Simulator got me into experimental minimalist electronic music, I will just say that the act of playing this game was one of the most fulfilling forms of meditation I’ve ever experienced, comparable to the time I fell asleep in high school yoga class and had the deepest, most restorative 15 minutes of sleep I’ve experienced prior or since. Best played with real-life companions, an active imagination, and a playful attitude.
