very steep learning curve but lots of fun. was already complicated when i played it four years ago. i can't imagine what it's like now

An absolutely phenomenal and satisfying game by all means. But also one that I felt my brain ramming into the deeper I went in. After about the 25-hour mark, I simply felt like things were getting too complex for me to play efficiently. If I ever end up majoring in engineering then I'll make sure to come back to it, but until then, so long factorio

i'm not smart enough for this game and it's still fun. I wish I could get payed to mess around in it.

Do NOT play this game if you value having a sleep schedule and also a life outside of running around your factory trying to find out why you have millions of gallons of light oil and where all your green circuits went. Spoiler: both problems are somehow because you don't have enough iron. You NEVER have enough iron.

9/10. A beautiful allegory for addiction

spent my first post-college summer playing this instead of getting a job. 10/10

the factory must grow (at a later time cause i got burned out lol)

i bully nerds who like this game

AH OTRA VEZ ESTOY TOMANDO FALOPA AH ME ENCANTA MALDITA FALOPA

This should be used to diagnose adults with autism. It'd easily be better at that than getting some psychologist to administer you tests designed for children.

Factorio taps into something dangerous & special.

With 377 hours logged on steam, this may be my most played game ever.

Nice idea but there's zero charm and ultimately boring as shit to both look at and play.

Perhaps the best-in-class for its kind. The highest-quality execution of what it can be. To make any progress further, one cannot do better. The formula must be better. In the current [ m e t a ] of factory builders, Factorio is the best.

also i like the little robots they're cute

My first thought when playing Factorio was "How has nobody done this before?". The idea instantly made perfect sense, of course this would be a great game.

There's so much depth, creativity and planning involved in the construction of your Rube Goldberg-esque factory and immense satisfaction in watching your creation tick away.

There's always something to think about in Factorio and always something to do. The factory must grow.

launched the game, blinked, and 4 hours had passed as i began my industrial invasion. this shit really is crack oh my god i love it

i swear ill beat it eventually

The Engineer Says: the pinnacle of automation and logistics gaming. The knowledge barrier is so unbelievably high that it would take hundreds of hours (minimum) to understand most of what this game has to offer.

for some reason i started playing this before one of the biggest deadlines of my career and it almost ruined my life. when i launched the rocket i started crying and then immediately uninstalled the game. not fit for human consumption.

They don't call it Cracktorio for nothing. Factorio is a masterpiece of making positive feedback loops go into each other. Problem solving is put to the test in a world of alien protestors against your gigantic factory of fresh air, nuclear weapons, and fish. You'll sink hours and hours into this game without even realizing it since you just focus so hard on optimizing everything possible. The modding scene is phenomenal, covering basically any problem or feature you'd like. The developers are some of the best in the industry. The hard-locked 30$ pricetag can seem like a lot considering the deals you can find for other games in stores, but the 30$ is an absolutely fair price.

Actual addiction.
+ A problem is presented. A solution is made - by you. The solution is deployed. You unlock the next problem. You realize your previous solution needs polishing. Repeat.
+ Excellent sound. Atmospheric noises to study/sleep to.
+ Huge QOL improvements since launch, and it just keeps getting better.
+ The huge amount of community content ensures that even when you finish the game and assorted challenge runs, you will Never be done.

>game called factorio
