i played this game at least 4 times back in 2014 and as a young impressionable individual it was fun and brainless but i think if i replayed it now i would shrivel up and die of boredom from what i remember of it. there is no real objective nor actual plot in this game and perhaps that's what it's all about but that along with the tumblr-core 2013 youtuber-catered everything about it is like. yeah i think i'm good y'all. this game isn't necessarily bad in itself it's just like. you had to be there in its prime to get it. it's a 2013 era memorial that just can never be translated into the present time with the same energy

Como haces que un juego que menciona a the world ends with you SEA TAN PUTAS MALO, la historia es mala y al final pom no aprende ni una mierda, la puta trama la premia y ella realmente nunca pasa un desafío en todo el trayecto, cada interacción que tiene te hace quererte quitarte los ojos, me dirán que en el final bueno si lo vale PERO ES MENTIRA, es basura también ese final por que la perdonan luego de todas las pendejas que hizo, los demás personajes son solo bonitos de diseño pero nada interesantes, el único que cae bien es el PUTO PUNTO DE GUARDADO, agradezco que esta cosa sea corta por que si no dudo que alguien con la determinación de acero soporte a la pendeja de pom, es un rpg de prescolar ósea en combate nada interesante, lo único bueno es el pixel art y la música que algo me dice que ni si quiera es original del juego, solo recomendado si pasabas muchas horas en tumblr.

you play as a pomeranian named Pom as her and another dog she lives with reaches heaven after their house burned down with them in it. Pom is trying to get Wi-Fi since she died before checking all her social media

the art is nice but, again, this was made in 2013 and it is a... well... interesting time capsule to see what was popular on Tumblr at the time. unfortunately Pom is incredibly unlikable and I really can't recommend this game outside of people that desperately want to relive 2013. there's plenty of other RPG Maker Games out there that don't rely on (at the time of writing this) 8 year old memes

Pom Gets Wi-Fi is a product of it’s time that has aged HORRIBLY with the cringy references. It’s still a very cute game though. I wanted a Pomeranian because I loved Pom so much.

The discussion of Pom being annoying but also written to be unlikable is a very conflicting issue. Infamous cases like Alex YIIK are prime examples of giving too much screentime to the protagonist being an awful person. Most people don’t like watching the protagonist in a story that you’re supposed to root for. Waiting for a character to get better can pay off sometimes… just not in this game.

Everything else is aesthetic eye candy. The sprite art is adorable and the story is simple enough to follow along. There’s some angst every now and then but for the most part it’s a pretty tame story.

Honestly liked Pom more by seeing her as a walking reference talker, rather than a selfish dog who’s addicted to Tumblr. That Garry reference made me scream 5 years ago.

This game is cute, and I love trying out games built in this engine because I love seeing what they do with it. But the main character is kind of just... insufferable. Like I get that's the point, that other characters are supposed to find the MC insufferable, but if you make the audience feel that, you're gonna lose players. It isn't even like, the kind of bad you wanna stick around and see like BoJack Horseman. It's kind of just annoying. Although I do like it for the fact that the final challenge is a boss battle in a game that otherwise has no combat. Love that shit.
