Pretty good. Splitscreen is where this really shines, but decent gameplay overall.

this was very half ass'ed in my opinion 2 is alot better with story and better controls

Great game that sits in the shadow of its sequel often times. I enjoy the total focus on ground combat, despite the lack of playable heroes. Sadly a lot of great maps got taken out for Battlefront II, outside of perhaps early DLC.

FIRST GEN CLONE TROOPER ARMOR IS THE BEST FUCK EVERYTHING ELSE

Mejor que el segundo, los controles son más pesados y molan mucho más

No reason to play this over Battlefront 2, if you miss the maps this one has that BF2 doesn't then there's a mod that adds them all back, just look it up.

Don't remember much but obviously it was a great game

The moment I relaized there aren't actually 200 Soliders running around on the Battlefield at the same time was my personal equivalent of figuring out Christmas wasn't real.

I like how this game is simpler than Battlefront 2. You can't just switch to one of the heroes and kill 30 people in one life. The battles feel like they take more effort and strategy because you're just a regular soldier the whole time.

A great tour of the battles in the Star Wars universe.

One of the best Star Wars games. I just owned 2 as well so I didn't play this one as much.

top tier, the hours ive played. my record is like 110+ kills

Only think it did better than its sequel was the first person cockpit view in vehicles being really detailed

honestly it's just as good as the sequel. fuckin owns

The precursor to one of the most renowned shooters in gaming history, and an underappreciated one at that.

Not as good as the sequel but still good in its own right.

Such a fun game, really made you feel like a general in the Star Wars setting

This one was rough around the edges even for its day. Now that isn't to say that it was bad, as it launched the most popular Star Wars gaming franchise to date, but it definitely was no where near as enjoyable as the sequel.

I have such a distinct memory of seeing the poster for this game and just thinking how cool it was. Right there centre stage isn't a jedi, but a stormtrooper. I was sold on the idea of that alone.

The sequel surpassed just about every element present in this game but I still have fond memories of this one.

This game blew my 9 year old mind.

solid game good ass solid ass star wars game

A fun Star Wars game. Growing up I played the second one more but this was a decent warm up. Solid maps and playing as Stormtroopers just blasting enemies away will never not be satisfying.

A shame you can't play as any heroes and the camera is a bit too up close even in third person for my liking plus the fact you can't sprint is dumb.

A Lord of the Rings game done in the style of Battlefront would be awesome.

This era of Star Wars games will always have a special place in my heart though.

I would play hours and hours of this game all by myself. All the game modes were great to play even single player. I just wish that the new ones captured this same feeling I had when I played this one.

It's just fun. Whether you're in multiplayer or alone, it's just a good time.

One of the first games I've ever played and even after all those years it's still a very fun game to play.
Got its issues with map, enemy and difficulty balancing, but when it works it is just absolutely beautiful and certain iconic maps like Bespin Platforms are not even in the direct sequel and therefore exclusive to this game.
