The camera angle when fighting and plot in this game is awful, they didn’t have licensing for Andrew Garfield’s face and a lot of the villains are weird mutant variants or Z listers. I swear Vermin is in this game - I am not 100% sure but this game is so ass and forgettable that I am not checking.

Not awful but little would we know only six years later we would get an amazing Spider-Man game. HOPEFULLY they don’t make a sequel 🫠
A huge backstep from what we had in the Spider-Man 2 and 3 movie games. Swinging isn't momentum based and webs don't even connect to buildings. Combat is a dumbed-down version of the arkham games, and... I don't remember anything about the story, so take that for what you will.
One of my first 100% achievements, my equivalent to Spider-Man 2 growing up
everything is just pretty solid, nothing is particularly bad (even the web swinging which is obviously attaching to thin air is actually still decent!) but nothing is particularly great either (combat/stealth constantly trying to be as nice as the Arkham series and never getting close)
What awaits you is a boring plot, dull additional monotonous missions and ease of play. On the plus side, well-tuned character control. But this doesn't help the situation.

It looks rough on the Wii, and I'm dying to play the Xbox 360 version when I get one, but even still, I enjoyed the fresh approach to playing as Spider-Man. Swinging is basically the same as in the first movie tie-in game back in 2002 (at least for the Wii version) so it's not a problem for me as long as the controls are responsive.
At first I was disappointed by the fighting, which is mostly based on timing and then Spidey does everything else for you, but when I learning to mix things up I enjoyed shaking the Wiimote on time and watching him beat robots, freaks and crooks up.
Can't help but feel a little robbed when I watch the gameplays of the other versions but I have FOUR other games that have that (SM, SM2, SM3, Ultimate, Web of Shadows) so I kinda appreciated just going straight into missions.

It was ok, honestly. I liked the film so I liked the game too, pretty standard Spiderman gameplay.

This is the best Spider-man game I've ever played. The gameplay is fast and fun, exploring the city is great and collecting comic book pages is surprisingly fun to do.
